Doji

Doji was a part of our family for almost 10 years. She was the best dog ever. She was a pitbull, but you would never know. She was the sweetest dog ever. She was never agressive, and we never had to worry about her around anyone, including the kids. She would let Levi ride her like a horse, and when Alexis was a baby, she would jump up to see if she was ok when Alexis would start crying in her bassinet.

Sadly, Doji got cancer the last year of her life. We had the cancer removed off of her leg, but unfortunately it came back. We did the best we could to control her pain and let her enjoy the rest of her life, but in September 2010, it was apparent that she was just in too much pain. We took her camping one last time, and we knew that was the last time. She was hardly able to walk, and she was just hurting. We had her put down on September 15th, 2010. It was one of the hardest days Isaac and I have had to deal with in a long time. She truly was a member of our family. We buried her in the mountains a short distance from where we spent many summers camping. We will never forget Doji and all the happiness she brought to our lives.
